"Gakkensai" Type A (English)

“Gakken-sai” is a disaster compensation scheme aimed at providing necessary benefits to students at universities, junior colleges, technical colleges and similar institutions who suffer accidents, to improve and develop educational and research activities in higher education institutions. This is the nationwide standard disaster compensation scheme to which 85% of university and technical college students nationwide (as of 2024) are enrolled.
 

OPTION "Gakkenbai" Type A (English)

Students (the insured) will be covered up to the limit of payment against damages for which, during the period of this insurance, they may be held legally liable to pay in Japan or abroad for causing injuries to a third party or damaging any property belonging to a third party, etc. during their curricular activities, school events, extracurricular activities (＊“Extracurricular activities” refers to the internship or volunteer activities carried out in the school for internship or volunteer purposes by student groups that are approved by the school in accordance with the formalities prescribed by the school.), or commuting to and from them.

学生が他人にけがを負わせた場合、他人の財物 を損壊した場合、または人格権を侵害して法律上 の損害賠償責任を負ったときのための保険です。大阪大学は高等司法研究科の学生は、入学時に全員が加入します。
